Job Description

 
The Technical Team Leader will work with key customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and help develop specific data warehouse subject areas.
The primary role of this position will be designing and implementing a data warehouse, extract transform load procedures and providing detailed analysis of large amounts of data.
 
Responsibilities
Gather feedback from business users and understand requirements
Author complex stored procedures, SQL Jobs, ETL jobs
Assists in project planning and scheduling
Design and manage database import / export processes used to generate client data warehouse deliverables
Assist development staff with the debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures
Ongoing data warehouse maintenance, change management, and performance tuning
Transact SQL and stored procedure development
Assist and support OLAP and Business Intelligence activities
  

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree completed or close to completion in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or other relevant numerate discipline.
Demonstrated analytical, technical, and communication capabilities and experience of leading a team of consultants.
Very good Knowledge of SQL programming; preferably Teradata SQL, however knowledge of Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server or other RDBMS systems will also be considered
Ability to prioritize assignments, handles shifting deadlines, and work independently as well as in a team environment.  
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with an understanding of existing and emerging technologies.
Ability to prioritize workload and work well under pressure to meet deadlines and manage business expectations.
Previous experience using ETL tools such as Datastage or Informatica is plus.
Previous experience using BI tools such as Business Object, MicroStrategy, Congnos or Microsoft BI is plus.
