We are looking to recruit a Practice Partner specialized in the Manufacturing Industries to join Teradata International’s Industrial IoT Group.

Our Industrial IoT Group is part of the newly formed Global Services division, where business consulting and data science is combined to drive business outcomes through data and analytics, enabled by world leading analytics ecosystems and services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior consultant who wants to develop new and innovative consulting business as well as assure that our customers drive value from analytics and data - with our technology offerings.  

The Practice Partner will have responsibilities in four key areas: 

Customer
Pre-sales engagements in collaboration with local account teams to educate and establish credibility with clients prospects
Support account planning and opportunity development 
Scope, lead and deliver consulting and consulting-led sales engagements

Community
Manage an international community of interest, engaging with local and international teams interested in manufacturing and Teradata’s relevant capabilities
Deliver awareness and capability training to less experience colleagues
Support colleagues across Teradata by sharing knowledge formally and informally

Marketing
Develop and manage our key messages for the manufacturing industries
Create and grow your own and Teradata’s industry presence through speaking engagements; publications; social media etc
Participate in and support relevant Teradata and 3rd party marketing events

Innovation
Be recognised as an industry expert, driving debate and discussing next year’s industry concerns, opportunities and innovations 
Work closely within the community of data scientists, consultants and Teradata Labs to identify new business opportunities and new Teradata offerings
Identify and record assets (solutions, partnerships etc) from successful engagements that could be replicated and re-used

Qualifications


Required qualifications, experience and skills

Degree in a STEM discipline
Strong experience working directly within the manufacturing industry, or as a consultant targeting manufacturing businesses
Understanding of how data and analytics create value in a manufacturing context
Development of analytical and predictive models (eg for predictive maintenance)
In depth knowledge of one or more of the following domains:
Asset management
Control systems and Operational Technology (OT)
Technical operations
Digitisation and Industry 4.0
Manufacturing ERP 
Previous experience of presenting to and working with Senior Management / CxOs
An appreciation of high level data and analytics solutions and how they apply to manufacturing (eg relational databases; historians; Hadoop; open source tools etc)Required qualifications, experience and skills
