PS Business Operations Consultant

This role will be responsible for the Teradata Professional Services project support to PS Practice Partners and PS Business Operations of the PS organization across the South Pacific Area, working as a member of a small Project Manage Office team.


Key focus areas for this role are:

  • Professional Services Automation tool (PSA) Management
  • Financial Administration and Reporting
  • Support PS business operations

PSA Management

  • Manage Project Setup in PSA under the Global and Local Governance Policy guidelines
  • Action PSA Task assignment requests
  • Manage Customer / Resource Profile Setup and Maintenance
  • Manage and report on time entry compliance on weekly basis
  • Monitor WIP and prepare Time Sheets for invoice preparation
  • Work with the Order Management Group to transact project invoice requests and recognize revenue in line with the Global Revenue Recognition policies
  • Monitor Project Compliance reporting and work with Project Managers to take the appropriate actions
  • Manage Project Closure in PSA under the Global and Local Governance Policy guidelines

Financial Administration and Reporting

  • Assist in preparing management reports (eg. Monthly PS Pack- Backlog and Orders reports, WIP, Customer Analysis, Resource reports, Managed Services, Presales Spend)
  • Maintain Project Activity report to track project backlog
  • Reconcile PSA and GL Expense (Contractor / Material Supply) items and make necessary
  • Work with PMs to maintain project PnL’s and estimates at completion (EAC) for monthly management summary reporting and PSA update

Support PS Business Operations

  • Support internal and external audit queries
  • Assist Project Managers/Practice Partners in the use of PSA
  • Support AR Management and Aged Collection issues
  • Support Practice Partners in the monitoring of PSA activity and reporting requests
  • Reconcile Payroll and PSA Leave records and escalate action required
  • Maintain local Process Templates


  • Bachelor qualifications in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or Management
  • Experience gained within IT industry is a prerequisite
  • 3 years minimum experience in project administration and management role, preferably with experience in project financial reporting including preparation of Project P&L reports
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
