Job Summary

 

Ø  Area Data Science Practice Lead, responsible for supporting Partners Practice Leads with all dimensions of the practice (e.g. Strategy, Recruitment, etc.)

Ø  Responsible for executing the agreed strategy in local Area/ Country

 

Major Skills

 

Ø  Data Science Practice Lead with experience leading Data Science teams, executing DS strategy and operational models, creation and execution of DS services

Ø  Experience of selling, leading & delivering advanced analytical projects in the consulting world to large complex organizations in a multi-industry/functional environment, focusing in the business outcomes and being technology agnostic

 

Work Environment

 

Ø  50% customer sites on demand

 

Analytical Knowledge

 

Ø  7-10 years of experience in the Analytics ecosystem, both hands-on and lead roles

Ø  Strong understanding of how the analytical market is evolving, particularly around the adoption of open source

Ø  Hands-on expert in at least one Domain/Solution that we are investing in 2017 #LI-YM

Qualifications


  • Key Responsibilities and Objectives

     

    Ø  Support the creation of the DS strategy for International & Global

    Ø  Aligned with and supporting the Geo Director for the Area, drive high-level DS services forecast to provide senior management a 2-4 year direction of the business and head-count. From this plan create a next year plan for the local region/ country and execute it

    Ø  Own recruitment & head-count for DS in the Area, against Business Plan owned by Area Geo Director

    Ø  Execute DS Operations within area/ country, including monthly, bi-weekly, meetups and any other strategic event/ initiative in local area/ country aligned with the global strategy defined

    Ø  Lead operational coordination with other Think Big Analytics Practices and Teradata Global Services

    Ø  Build the practice culture, ensuring churn remains below 20% while still hiring top talent from the market

    Ø  Review team capabilities and establish training/mentoring plan (utilization)

    Ø  Establish KM process to continuously collect all IP available & identify areas for immediate reuse within client base (Knowledge Management & productivity)

    Ø  Regularly present at analytical conferences on how analytics delivers value/ROI (conference follow up enquiries)

    Ø  Drive innovation in the Practice ensuring the best initiatives in the market are delivered by us

    Ø  Remain hands-on and act as Data Science Lead in 1-2 clients, driving max 2 days chargeability per week
